I think that Tom Hanks is a great actor and it kills me that he wrote this one.  It is about as average and predictable as it can get.  Some parts don’t exactly line up and it is just a mess of a movie.  I am sorry Tom, but you may win the wrong kind of award for this film.  Julia Roberts is nothing special in this one either.  There is very little humor and the comedians in the movie are limited in their roles.  If it had not been for a really boring day at see on a cruise, I don’t think I would have ever seen this one.  I don’t even know how long it was even in the movie theater.  Last resort movie in my opinion.

This is one of those movie that you can see once and maybe a second time but not worth it after that.  I should also say, that if you never see it, there is not much that you will be missing.  It is a movie that revolves around the bible and how it is the first and only book that matter when the world is full of savages and society collapses.  I would like to say that I only saw it because honestly, how often to Denzel pick a bad movie.  If you catch it on a rainy Saturday afternoon, that would be worth watching.
